That time of the year is slowly approaching, parents are starting to take notes for gift ideas, couples are starting to drop little hints as to what they want, and offices are starting to consider Christmas party venues. This period encourages us to spend time with the people we love and to the things we love which is why we wrote this post. In Lancashire, there is always an abundance of things to do around this time. Treat your friends and family this Christmas with a trip to Lancashire this winter and take part in any of the numerous events taking place throughout the city.
Christmas Lights switch-on
Christmas Party venues in Manchester and other cities can be found prior, but Christmas is not officially started until the Christmas lights are turned on. There are a variety of places that you can take the kids or friends to watch the lights, in Lancashire. There are switch-on events going on around the county, from Chorley to Blackburn to Nelson and Lancaster. The season promises to bring with it show-stopping fire and light displays that’ll leave you longing for more, it’ll also bring various special guests and celebrities and a lot of food and drinks. If you are planning on attending any of these events in your local area you should be sure to plan and wear warm and comfortable clothing for comfort.
Meeting Santa
Just like the Christmas lights, there is going to be an abundance of places where you can take the kids to see Santa. There is nothing more exciting for parents than seeing the look on their kids face when they see Santa for the first time at Christmas. You can soak up the atmosphere as you pass through the exciting lights and the entertaining elves as you make your way to see the man himself. You can get your picture taken with Santa and if you have been good you might even get yourself a present. Keep an eye out in local shopping malls as you never know where he might turn up!
