Things To Do While Staying At Luxury Hotels In Bali

Luxury, elegance and spacious settings is what defines luxury hotels in Bali such as the AYANA Spa and Resort which is adorned with exquisite bars and restaurants built along a perfectly curved beach. This luxury hotel prides itself of owning one of the largest grounds in Bali. The AYANA Resort and Spa is located about 6km south of central Jimbaran along Jalan Karang Mas road.

The area around this luxury hotel features a secluded and isolated section of the northwest coast in southern Bali. The best way to get there from the airport is via a chartered car or metered taxi which is best arranged through the hotel. However, guests at the RIMBA and AYANA Villas often receive free transfers. The hotel is easily accessible from anywhere in southern Bali and depending on traffic the trip should take about 25 minutes.

The basics

Just like many luxury hotels Bali, the AYANA Resort and Spa caters exceptionally well for all types of people including family vacation and romantic getaways. The resort is nestled on a cliff atop a private cove of white sand known as Kubu Beach. To access this beach, one can either use an outdoor lift or go down 200 precarious steps. While all rooms in the resort face the gardens, a few also overlook the sea. However, ocean views from any room are at a distant.

Each villa at The Villas at AYANA Resort feature a private pool. Wi-Fi for guests at the resort is free throughout but it may not work in sections of the extensive gardens. The best rooms are the Ocean View Suited which are the largest and provide the best ocean views from the extended balcony which is accessible from the separate lounge room and bedroom.

For families, there are a plethora of rooms with connecting doors. Also smoking is not allowed in the rooms but is permitted elsewhere.

Interesting things to do at AYANA Resort and Spa

Rooftop Bar at Rimba

The Rooftop Bar features an amazing sunset location offering tantalizing food and drinks such as the lychees and nasi goreng martinis. Dinner at this joint is the perfect way to close out a wonderful stay at the AYANA Resort and Spa.

The River Pool

This architectural wonder of a pool features several interconnected pools on a couple of levels. Giving off a lagoon vibe, the River Pool also has a hidden tub around the corner. In late 2018, the management at the hotel banned the use of mobile devices, cameras and other electrical gadgets at the River Pool from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The resort maintained that the ban was implemented to ensure that the pool remains a tranquil place where guests can relax.

Kubu Beach

Featuring a treehouse platform, ample seating and unobstructed views of the sun setting over the ocean, Warung Kubu at Kubu Beach offers amazing sunset viewing. The Warung also makes impressive cocktails.

Lower Pool at Rimba

The lower pool at Rimba features private cabanas making it the best part of the pool which are nestled on the side of the pool. The cabanas provide the best place to relax and even take a nap after swimming.

The Ocean Beach Pool

Hanging over a cliff above Kisik Beach, the Ocean Beach pool is a perfect place to take breathtaking photos. However, you might want to get there early because there is a limited number of people allowed in the pool area. This is to ensure guests get their own lounge or relaxing daybed and have a peaceful time while swimming.

The Rock Bar

Topping several world’s must-see lists including the World’s Best Bars with a View by Forbes, the Rock Bar is open to both the guests at AYANA and the public. It is also another place to witness breathtaking sunset views so make sure you get there well before time.
